Central Demolition are full members of two core bodies which represent the services that we offer: the National Federation of Demolition Contractors (NFDC) and the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA).  We are also a member of the National Demolition Training Group (NDTG) who provide specific and relevant training opportunities to our employees.  Certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, these accreditations assist us in the quality and environmental management of our business. We achieved OHSAS 45001 certification in 2020, and this further demonstrates our commitment to health and safety management across the whole organisation.

We have CHAS accreditation, which demonstrates our compliance with health and safety legislation in the industry.  Our HSAS accreditation and SMAS Worksafe Contractor membership again exhibit our competence in health and safety.

We are members of Constructionline Gold, the UK’s largest database of pre-qualified contractors and consultants.  We have also successfully achieved Achilles Building Confidence accreditation, which is designed to meet the risk management and legislation needs of construction clients.

Several of our sites have been awarded with a Considerate Constructors Certificate of Compliance, which indicates a level of consideration beyond statutory requirements to the workforce, the environment and the neighbours of the site.  We are also accredited under the NFDC Accredited Site Audit Scheme, which demonstrates excellent site standards, safe working methods and management systems.

Our asbestos division have an ARCA Site Audit Accreditation Scheme Quality Assurance Award, which they have maintained for the last 6 years.

All of our work is fully licenced.  We are fully licenced by the HSE to undertake work with asbestos, and we hold Waste Carriers and Waste Management Licences from SEPA.  In addition, we have a VOSA Goods Vehicle Operator’s Licence.

Central Demolition is an award-winning business.  We were shortlisted for two 2014 World Demolition Awards – the Safety & Training Award and the Industrial Demolition Award.  We are competing against organisations from across the globe, so even being shortlisted is an honour for us.  Back in March, we also proved ourselves when we won the 2014 NFDC Demolition Training Award, beating the biggest demolition companies in the UK.  One of our employees was also Highly Commended in the Demolition Operative of the Year category, and we were shortlisted for a further 3 awards: Demolition Manager of the Year, Demolition Plant Operative of the Year and Investing in Skills for a New Generation!  We also have a CSCS Platinum Award for our commitment to improving competence in construction as we have registered more than 90% of our workforce under the Construction Skills Certification Scheme.  In addition, we have won multiple ARCA Gold Training Awards.

We are also included in the d&ri100, which ranks the top 100 demolition companies in the world!
